Prevention

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota offers My Life My Choice (MLMC), a nationally renowned ten-session class, for at-risk youth. MLMC was created to develop and strengthen efforts to halt exploitation and trafficking. The class empowers youth to protect themselves from the commercial sex industry and its perpetrators.

We also offer Not a #Number (NA#N), an interactive, five-module prevention curriculum designed to teach youth how to protect themselves from human trafficking and exploitation through information, critical thinking and skill development. NA#N uses a holistic approach that focuses on respect, empathy, individual strengths, and the relationship between personal and societal pressures that create or increase vulnerabilities.

Community Outreach

Cherish All Children is a ministry that equips congregations with educational tools and resources to prevent child sexual exploitation and trafficking. Our vision is that congregations will engage in prevention so all children may be cherished, not exploited. By providing congregational manuals, prayers, educational resources and community events, youth and adults can engage in action in their own communities.
