Zajac Family ready to welcome someone new with open arms

We are Michelle and Scott, and we live in a quiet neighborhood in Barnesville, Minnesota, with our three youngest children. We are only 25 minutes from Fargo/Moorhead where there are a lot more opportunities to shop or do community activities. Our oldest daughter, Alexia, lives on her own in Fargo.

A typical day in our lives during the school year would be Scott and I heading off to work, Isaiah and Kyanna going to school, and Andrew working. Weekends are either spent with extended family or getting tasks completed, and Sundays are usually filled with church and football, especially the Minnesota Vikings. Camping is always high on the list of favorite activities, along with our annual summer family vacation. Community involvement includes our church family, Youth Group and sporting events. Michelle works at the school as a special education paraprofessional and owns a dog sitting business.

There are two bedrooms available to choose from: a main level bedroom or a basement bedroom. Everyone does their part in helping with chores and yard work. Everyone does their own laundry, but help can be provided if needed.

Our oldest son, Andrew, was diagnosed with autism when he was two years old. Currently, he is 18 years old and works full-time as a CNA at the nursing home here in Barnesville. My husband and I adopted our youngest daughter, Kyanna, from Uganda in 2013.

We show that we care for one another by spending quality time together, whether we are having a family meal, game or movie night, camping, or going to the lake. We would welcome a new addition to our family with open arms, and hopefully they would feel comfortable with making themself at home, hanging out with us and getting to know our family. All of us would try our best to make our house a home for someone new.
