Shanika Wallace Looks Forward to Opening Her Home and Sharing Her Community
My name is Shanika Wallace, and I am opening my South Minneapolis home to provide supports to somebody in need. I live in a two-level townhome. The bedroom available is located on the main level and is very bright and sunny. My neighborhood is full of parks, great local businesses, restaurants and shopping. It is not far from the Mall of America and right on the bus line. I look forward to opening my home and am excited to support someone to achieve the goals that matter most to them.
I currently live by myself and am surrounded by a strong community. My son is now off and grown, and my mother lives next door to me. I enjoy walks in the park, watching movies, spending time with friends and family, and going to the farmer’s market. I recently began roller-skating and love finding new places to enjoy this hobby.
You would have your own bedroom and bathroom on the main level, and we would share the common kitchen and living room. There are a couple of steps leading up to both the front and back door. Laundry is located on lower level, and I can help you complete any household tasks that you need support with and will respect your own private space.
I believe that people can grow and thrive when they feel accepted and are treated well. I have worked with Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota for many years, providing opportunities for individuals to develop the skills and knowledge they need to thrive. I promise to do the same for you.
