Under the Payroll Model, PICS is the payroll processor, taking care of taxes, unemployment and reporting.

Hiring Caregivers and Service Providers

The Individual/Participants are the legal employer of their own care providers and will be assigned a Federal Employee Identification Number (FEIN). Representatives choose the workers you want to hire. Representatives maintain control of how Workers provide services by scheduling their hours and providing training and ongoing management.

If you already have an individual you would like to hire as a Worker, you can view and print the necessary employee forms to start the hiring process.

FMS Support from PICS

To support you in your role as employer, PICS manages:

• Payroll processing
• All necessary tax and unemployment deposits
• Payroll related expenses, including FICA, Medicare, workers compensation and unemployment insurance
• Reimbursements for all invoiced expenses
• Timely reporting
