    Current Volunteer Opportunities

    We are currently seeking volunteers to make a one-time or on-going commitment for a variety of programs and services in Duluth, the Iron Range and throughout Northeastern MN.

  • Volunteer with services that benefit children, youth and families
  • Financial Counseling Intern

    LSS Office in Duluth
    Internship Commitment:   15 hours per week for at least 3 months
    Gain hands on experience in the areas of personal finance, consumer advocacy and financial scam prevention.

    Duluth Safe Place Volunteer

    Duluth
    On-going Commitment:   2-8 hours per week
    Help youth in your community find the help they need when they are faced with a crisis situation

    Center for Changing Lives Duluth Front desk volunteer

    Duluth
    On-going Commitment:   2-8 hours per week
    Be the first friendly face people see and help them find their way as they come to the Center for Changing Lives Duluth.

  • Camp Noah 2018 - Nationwide Volunteers Needed

    Various Locations

    On-going Commitment: 1 week
    Help children recover from disaster and learn resiliency skills at Camp Noah! 

    Service/Mission Trip

    Various Locations

    On-going Commitment: 1 week
    Reach out to those impacted by disaster by providing a fun day camp experience for children!

  • Make School Supply Kits

    Wherever you are!
    On-going Commitment:   Flexible
    Make School Supply Kits as a group! Get together and assemble kits filled with essential items for kids starting a new school year.

    Make Welcome Kits

    Twin Cities Metro Area, St. Cloud Area
    On-going Commitment:   Flexible
    Make Welcome Kits as a group! Get together and assemble kits filled with essential items.

    Foster Grandparent

    Various locations
    On-going Commitment:   Minimum of 15 hours per week
    Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to children and youth and make a lasting difference in their lives

  • Volunteer with services that benefit older adults
  • Guardianship Volunteers

    Various locations
    On-going Commitment:   Flexible
    Visit and build relationships with individuals in need of Guardianship services.

    Neighbor to Neighbor Companions

    Various locations
    One-Time Commitment:   Weekly visits for at least six months
    Provide visits to help seniors remain living independently in their own homes.

    Caregiver Support and Respite Care Provider

    Various locations
    On-going Commitment:   2-4 hours per week for at least 6 months
    Assist families and caregivers who provide care for ill or elderly family members.

    Senior Companion

    Various locations
    On-going Commitment:   10+ hours per week
    Provide friendly visits to help seniors remain living independently in their own homes.

  • Volunteer with services that benefit people with disabilities
  • Be a "buddy" to someone who has a disability

    Reach out to people with disabilities by becoming a buddy!
