Disability Matters Day at the Capitol
February 17, 2017
Join families, self-advocates and allies on Tuesday, February 28 to make your voice heard!
Advocates from around the state will gather in the Capitol Rotunda to rally in support of funding and services that allow people to live their best lives in the community.
All advocates are encouraged to meet with their state legislators before or after the rally to share their stories, concerns and priorities. Visit http://www.gis.leg.mn/iMaps/districts/to find and contact your legislator.
Sponsors for Disability Matters Day at the Capitol include Brain Injury Alliance of Minnesota, Get Up Stand Up to Cure Paralysis Foundation, Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities, and The Arc Minnesota.
This event is free to attend. To learn more and sign up, visit the online registration page.
Each year Partners In Community Supports and Lutheran Social Service of MN advocate on behalf of the people we serve. To learn more about our work at the Capitol, download our 2017 Public Policy Priorities.
