Short-Term Emergency Housing in Duluth
The Carlton Youth Shelter is short-term, emergency housing in a safe, residential setting. We provide support for the physical and emotional needs of youth in crisis. These services are available 24/7.
Youth age 17 and younger are referred to the shelter by county social service providers, the court system and area law enforcement. Out of county referrals are also accepted.
Youth referred are often experiencing one or more of the following circumstances: family conflict, parental neglect, physical or sexual abuse, running away, delinquency, truancy, school difficulties, chemical abuse, emotional difficulties, or past or current out-of-home placement.
