Youth Transitional Housing Program - Brainerd Area
We believe all young people deserve an opportunity for success, regardless of their circumstances. Our Youth Transitional Housing Program - Brainerd Area offers support to youth ages, 16 to 24, who are experiencing homelessness.
We Offer
- Assistance to access secure housing, employment and transportation.
- Help identifying personal and educational goals and creating an independent living plan.
How it Works
Youth can contact us of they are interested in participating in this program. Often young people are also referred to us through a county social worker, school personnel or other caring adults.
Youth participating in Youth Transitional Housing Program - Brainerd Area live independently while working with an LSS youth worker to develop the skills to maintain housing on their own.
LSS works closely with youth for up to 18 months. During that time, youth develop strong independent living skills and become better prepared to make decisions that lead to safety and stability.
