Robinson Family
Our Home and Family
I am Bridget Robinson, and I currently live with my daughter on five acres of land just outside of the city limits. Our four-bedroom, two-bathroom home is equipped with strobe light fire alarms that are ADA compliant for individuals who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Each bedroom has a doorbell with a flashing light on the inside.
Our one-level home has a front deck. The private bedrooms and common areas allow space for both privacy and engagement. A short walkway from the parking area to the home is kept clear of debris, snow and ice.
The Reason We Open Our Home
I want to provide a home where Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals are able to communicate in their native language. I don’t want them to suffer in a world that does not offer full access to communication.
Our Traditions
I enjoy going to events that involve the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. I like to go on vacation at least once a year to various locations, and I usually go with my daughter and mother.
Our Faith and Values
I believe in helping others to succeed in their goals.
Our Hobbies and Interests
I like trying new recipes and working in the yard. Once a month, we host our mostly Deaf game night. I also enjoy hosting Vikings football potlucks!
Welcome to Our Home!
Welcome to my home. I hope you will consider this your home too. I would like to invite you to participate in family gatherings and in daily living. I am a Deaf woman, so I can understand some of the frustrations and barriers that you may have faced in the past. I want to support you in an environment that has open communication. I can also help you find resources that you may need.
