Do You Prescribe Medications?
No, LSS does not currently prescribe medications. However, we can provide referrals to trusted medical providers who do.
Are You Trained in Infant & Early Childhood?
Yes! Our behavioral health professionals trained to provide infant and early childhood assessments and therapy at each of our office locations.
What is a Diagnostic Assessment?
A diagnostic assessment is an evaluation tool used to understand psychological and behavioral health needs and to develop a personalized treatment plan.
Do You Perform Psychological Testing?
Yes. we provide psychological testing at our Alexandria locations. For testing outside this area, please call our main helpline.
What Resources Do You Have for Veterans?

What If I can’t Find the Support Group That I’m Looking for?
If we don’t currently offer the group you need, we welcome your suggestions. Request a group by calling your local office or our main help line.
How Much Do Your Services Cost, and Do You Offer a Sliding Fee?
For specific rates, please contact your nearest LSS office. If you are unable to pay in full, we will work with you to create a payment plan and can determine if you qualify for sliding fee scale.
What Types of Insurance Do You Take?
LSS Behavioral Health Services participates in many commercial health insurance plans and accepts Medical Assistance (Medicaid), MinnesotaCare and Medicare. If you are unsure about your coverage, please contact your insurance provider.
How Much Time Should I Allow for Each Appointment?
A typical therapy session lasts 60 minutes. Your first appointment may take longer.
What If I Need to Cancel an Appointment?
We require 24-hour notice for cancellations. Multiple missed sessions without notice may affect future scheduling.
