Benefits for Workers
Workers under the Personal Supports model are eligible for many benefits, while Workers under the Payroll model are eligible for partial benefits. Medical insurance is available to Personal Supports Workers who work 30 or more hours per week.
Paid Time Off
Paid Time Off (PTO) is offered for Workers under the Payroll Model. It is not available for Personal Supports Workers.
The number of available hours of PTO is listed on the Worker's pay stub.
Medical Insurance is offered for Workers under the Personal Supports model. For 2019, medical insurance is provided through Blue Cross Blue Shield.
For Personal Supports Workers, Workers’ Compensation (WC) is paid by PICS.
For Payroll Model Workers, Workers’ Compensation coverage is paid through the Participant Employer’s budget. Representatives can purchase the appropriate group coverage through PICS’ plan with the National Insurance Trust (NIT) or show proof of continued private coverage
Health Savings Account
Health Savings Accounts are offered for Workers under the Personal Supports model. Health Savings Accounts are provided through SelectAccount.
