Reports and Notices

Reports and Notices

As a PICS Participant, you will periodically receive communication from PICS. Examples of notices you may receive from PICS are:

Spending Summary

This report has a breakdown of what’s budgeted, spent and remaining to spend in the Participant’s budget. Spending Summaries are located on the portal under the “Reports” tab.

Over/Underspending Notices

PICS is required to notify Representatives and Lead Agency Representatives when budgeted funds have been overspent by 15% or underspent by 50%. Reports are calculated and issued monthly.

Spenddown

A spenddown is like an insurance deductible. If your income is more than the allowed income limit, you may still qualify for Medical Assistance by meeting a spenddown. A spenddown is the amount an individual must pay towards medical bills before the state will start to pay. The Participant’s county financial worker will determine if a spenddown is required.

Invoices and Repayment Agreement Form

If there is overspending of the Participant’s approved funds or denied claims, the Representative is responsible to repay that amount to PICS.

If you have questions about any notices you receive from PICS, please contact your Service Coordinator.
