Community First Services and Supports Implementation Delay

Tuesday
Tuesday, September 28, 2021

Earlier this week, the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) announced that the new self-directed services program, Community First Services and Supports (CFSS), will not go into effect in 2021 as previously planned. The earliest date that CFSS could be implemented, according to DHS, is June 1, 2022.

For those who currently receive Personal Care Assistance (PCA) or Consumer Support Grant (CSG) services, your qualifying eligibility will continue.

PICS will continue to provide Financial Management Services for individuals and families who have chosen Consumer Support Grant (CSG) services or other self-directed programs.

PICS will update you on any future information related to CFSS as it becomes available. For more information about CFSS, see our news post.
