Brewer Family Values an Active Lifestyle & Spending Time Together

We are Jeremy and Gemuel Brewer, and we share our home with our three children, ages 3-5. The primary way we show we care is by meeting the basic needs of our kids and showing them love every chance we can. We hope that a new person in our home will become a part of our family and share this wonderful journey with us.

Our perfect days are usually fairly low key, while at the same time very busy – getting all of the kids up and ready, and then planning out the various activities for the day. Some of our favorite activities are going to a nearby park for a picnic, exploring the local Crow-Hassan Park Reserve or spending time outside. We enjoy and value an active lifestyle with plenty of exercise. As our children get older, we look forward to going on many family camping trips.

Our family is the happiest when we are together and able to slow life down a bit and focus on what really matters: each other. We also look forward to spending the holidays together every year.

The most important aspect of our lives is our faith. We are Christians, and this is the foundation of our morals, values and principles.

We live in a four-level split home, and the top two floors are primarily bedroom space. Someone who moves into our home would have their own private area. The other floors are communal, consisting of family rooms and the kitchen area. The kids enjoy playing and running around both inside and outside in our large, private backyard.

Gemuel has enjoyed the past 16 years as a caregiver in several capacities, including one-to-one homecare, and as a certified nursing assistant in assisted living facilities and a community residential home. Jeremy has worked with kids most of his life, including at camps, youth groups, school programs and as Dean of Students. We feel that we can offer a wide range of support to someone who moves into our home, including in areas such as social/emotional well-being and daily living activities, as well as other life skills.
