Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) has announced the promotion of Chief Financial Officer Patrick Thueson to the additional role of Chief Operating Officer.

“As our CFO, Pat has been very effectively leading our Executive Operations Team for the past four years,” said Jodi Harpstead, CEO of LSS. “Pat has been integrally involved in keeping LSS strong and stable while enabling people with disabilities and seniors to live connected lives in community and children, youth and families to achieve stability and resilience in their lives.”

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) recognized Marie Zimmerman and Alex Bartolic of the Minnesota Department of Human Services with the 2018 Movement of Hope Vision Award at a dinner gathering with the organization’s Board of Directors in March.

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota has presented the award annually, since 2007, to community leaders with exceptional public leadership that have brought to life the LSS vision that all people have the opportunity to live and work in community with full and abundant lives.

Resources for Crow Wing County Residents

BRAINERD, Minn. – Spring might be around the corner, but the cold is far from over. Low income families in Crow Wing County are still at risk of Energy Assistance Program phishing scams.

To promote awareness of scams like this, the Federal Trade Commission declared the week of March 4 National Consumer Protection Week. As the Energy Assistance provider for Crow Wing County, Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is sharing some advice for local consumers who might be seeking energy assistance this winter.
