LSS has been named a 2025 Top 200 Workplace in Minnesota
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota has been named one of the Top 200 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune. A complete list of those selected is available at startribune.com/mn-top-workplaces.
The rankings in the Star Tribune Top 200 Workplaces are based on survey information collected by Energage, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. In 2025, 137,573 employees at 389 Minnesota companies took the survey, and Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota was ranked 40 on the large employer list.
“We are so pleased that our LSS team members have again voted our organization a Top Workplace,” said LSS President Patrick Thueson. “Our team members do work that is of the highest quality. I am inspired by their ability to keep the LSS mission - and the dreams of individuals and families we serve - at the center of all we do. LSS will continue its work towards providing a welcoming, positive, and fun culture – a workplace where every team member is invited to bring their unique self to the LSS mission each day.”
“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That's something to be proud of. In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
To qualify for the Star Tribune Top Workplaces, a company must have more than 50 employees in Minnesota. Rankings were composite scores calculated purely based on employee responses.
In addition, this year LSS was also recognized as a winner of the national Spring 2025 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence award in the following categories: Innovation, Leadership, Purpose & Values and Work-Life Flexibility. Like the Top Workplaces recognition, these awards are based on team member feedback. Additional details can be found here.
“These awards recognize companies that understand the power of culture to drive performance forward,” said Rubino. “They’re not just offering great jobs. They’re creating environments where people are empowered to do their best work and thrive. The winning companies are setting the bar for what it means to be a top employer in 2025.”
