We are currently seeking volunteers for a variety of services in communities throughout Minnesota.
In light of COVID-19, we are working hard to shift our approach to best meet the needs of our Minnesota neighbors. Take a look below at the opportunities that can make the biggest impact at this time.
Twin Cities Metro
Donate groceries for Rezek House, Transitional Living Program, Safe House, Life Haven and Streetworks. (Precautions: Both locations have instituted no contact delivery protocols.)
Help Meals on Wheels by portioning hot food for individuals into Meals on Wheels trays or assembling shelf-stable meals. May help with delivery as well.
Use your skills to sew face masks for LSS staff and volunteers providing care and services throughout the state. This critical need will help protect against sneezes and coughs and increase our ability to safeguard people we support, employees, volunteers and community.
Volunteer caregivers are needed to provide telephone support or visits to families who have loved ones with chronic care and need a break. These special people provide friendship and support to caregivers over the phone or in the home so that family caregivers can make dinner, call a friend or enjoy some quiet time. Training is provided.
Take a look at the full list of opportunities to volunteer with LSS. Note that some programs may be changing operations in light of COVID-19, so opportunities on this list may be rapidly changing.
