Neighbor to Neighbor Companions
Fostering Independence for Older Adults

Neighbor to Neighbor Companions is a bridge to a fuller, more active life for older adults who want to live at home, stay healthy, and remain as independent as possible.
Trained local companions are matched with an older adult and provide weekly visits tailored to support individual needs, such as:
- Reliable transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping and errands
- Assistance with correspondence, such as paying bills
- Help with simple household tasks
- Being an ongoing resource, advocate, and friend to help older adults stay independent and healthy
This affordable service is available in metro and rural areas across Minnesota. Volunteers receive a monthly stipend while sharing skills, having fun in the community and making a difference in the life of an older adult.
