Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is an organization of neighbors helping neighbors. This holiday season, we invite you to join us by participating in our Holiday Giving Program.

The LSS Holiday Giving Program connects faith communities, workplaces, civic groups, families and individuals with opportunities to bring extra joy and cheer to neighbors who are currently supported by LSS. By purchasing gifts or gift cards from the wish list of an individual or family, Holiday Giving Program sponsors make the season a little brighter for their neighbors.

Participating in the LSS Holiday Giving Program is a meaningful way to inspire hope, change lives and build community. We hope you will join us this year and spread the word!

Please sign up for the LSS Holiday Giving Program using our online form. You will be asked to choose the LSS service you’d like to support and whether you would like to sponsor an individual or family.

The LSS team will match you with a child or family, provide a wish list and give instructions for delivering gifts. For additional information please email [email protected].

Program Details

The LSS Holiday Giving Program is held from November 3 - December 1, 2025 and supports five different LSS services.

  • Adoption & Foster Care Services – providing children, adults and families with supportive resources at every phase of their foster care and/or adoption journey.
  • Family Supports – providing support and resources to parents and kinship caregivers to help families maintain stability, health and child well-being.
  • Housing Services – providing housing and support to adults, families and veterans experiencing chronic homelessness.
  • Residential & Customized Support Services – providing support that empowers individuals with identified needs to live the life they imagine for themselves.
  • Youth Services – providing non-judgmental support and assistance to youth experiencing or facing the possibility of homelessness.
