Food Service Co-Director
Patricia True

Patricia (Pat) True is a native Minnesotan who started her cooking career as a suppertime cook for a Mankato nursing home. Through the years, she has enjoyed cooking for her family and in the area schools. She joined Camp Knutson staff in 1993 as the evening cook. She was delighted when her daughter, Sara, joined her in the kitchen. When Sara joined Camp K in 2005, Pat transitioned to being the morning and lunch cook and stepped into being the Food Services Manager. Now she and Sara are happy to share the role of Food Service Co-Directors and are thrilled they have been able to work side-by-side for so many years.

Pat enjoys spending time with her family, watching Twins baseball games, bird watching, gardening and fishing. She also cooks for the Tri-County Community Action Head Start program, Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen, and Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In her “spare” time, Pat serves on the Paul Bunyan Auxiliary and helps plan the annual Quit Auction benefit for Camp K.

“I love all of the returning people each year as well as all of the new people we meet,” Pat says. “It is an honor that God chose me to give service to Camp Knutson. Camp Knutson is a remarkable place to work.”
