Josh Sitarz

Program Coordinator
Josh

Josh Sitarz’s first work experience with Camp Knutson was in 2015 while he was a visiting staff member with The Down Syndrome Foundation. He was inspired to work at Camp after his sister Jilli, who was born with Down syndrome, attended Camp Knutson. From 2016 to 2018 Josh held multiple roles as a Camp K summertime staff member including program specialist, waterfront coordinator and activities coordinator. Josh is thrilled with his current year-round role as a program coordinator.

Some of Josh’s favorite Camp activities include hanging out with campers at the waterfront and camp craft. He says camp craft is always a favorite because of the added fun of eating food over the campfire.

“Camp Knutson is a place that allows individuals to be their best selves by providing a safe environment to make new friends, grow self-confidence and try new activities,” Josh said. “Camp feels like a second home for many, and I believe that it’s because of the community that embraces each camper. It is a privilege to be a part of this Camp community and to provide the best possible experience for our campers each and every day.”

Josh grew up in Maple Grove, Minnesota. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Natural Science from St. John’s University. He played college football and continues to follow the game. His favorite NFL team is the Minnesota Vikings, and he loves working alongside a Chicago Bears’ and Wisconsin Packer fan. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, golfing, wakeboarding, traveling and spending time with family.
