Named Chief Service Officer in July 2012, Jeri Schoonover leads development of new service and redesign initiatives and oversees delivery and service outcomes for Older Adults and People with Disabilities. The services include community living and supports for people with disabilities, Partners in Community Supports, Senior Nutrition, Caregiver Support, Guardianship Options, Pooled Trust, senior volunteer programs, Disaster Services, Camp Noah and Camp Knutson.

Prior to this position, Jeri served as LSS Vice President of Community Services. She brought with her a decade of professional experience and expertise in working with people with disabilities. She says, “The staff and volunteers at LSS are amazing! Their dedication and compassion for serving people in need is extremely inspirational and touches thousands of lives in communities throughout Minnesota. It certainly is service that inspires hope, changes lives, and builds community!”

Jeri resides in Lino Lakes and received her bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Parks and Community Education from Minnesota State University in Mankato. She currently serves on the national Lutheran Services in America (LSA) Disability Network and the LSA Disaster Service Network. She also chairs the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging.
