Type
of Opportunity: Provide refugees with
essential household and personal items for their new home.
This opportunity is great for groups or individuals of all
ages!
Opportunity Description: Most of our refugee
families arrive with few personal belongings. Volunteers work
to collect household goods, furniture and personal items. Ways
to get involved include:
- Donate items from your
household to a new refugee family
- Organize a collection at
your work, church, or in your friend group
- Get out in your community,
search garage sales, pick up items on free markets, or make
calls to local businesses to solicit items
- Spend time organizing and
evaluating inventory of our donations closet
- Deliver items collected to
the family who will be using them.

Commitment:
Needs for donations are
on-going and schedules are flexible. Contact the Volunteer
Coordinator for a listing of current donation needs.
