Population Served: Adults with Developmental
Disabilities, the Frail Elderly and Adults with Mental Illness
Type
of Opportunity: Adult volunteer will visit
vulnerable adult in health care center, group home, adult
foster home or private home.
Opportunity Description: Volunteer will visit
client two times each month, with the amount of time and
activity coordinated between the volunteer and client
according to the interests and abilities of both volunteer and
client. The volunteer will be a friendly visitor who also
reports back to LSS about the wellbeing of the client. The
volunteer provides a caring heart, helping hands and
nonjudgmental attitude. Training is provided.
