Family Activity Night Helper - LSS Explore Family Program
Population Served: Children/ Youth, Families
The Explore! Family Program offers weekly family activity nights that consist of developmentally appropriate fun activities and a meal. Individuals who serve as Family Activity Night Helpers will help support parents and children during the activities and will help staff with meal and activity set up and clean up.
Opportunity Description: Family Activity Night Helpers help children and parents during the activities, and help set up and clean up activities and meals. Desired skills include an ability to form positive, supportive relationships, a basic understanding of mental health issues, sensitivity to lifestyle differences, experience working with young children and a desire to support others as they develop personally and as parents.
Time
Commitment: Approximately 3 hours per week, Tuesday evenings.
