Green_Ball.gif (257 bytes) 93% of participants increase their knowledge on tenant rights and responsibilities as measured by a pre and post-test questionnaire administered by the Transitional Housing staff.
      
Green_Ball.gif (257 bytes) Of those entering all the transitional housing programs, 81% successfully complete.
      
Green_Ball.gif (257 bytes) 76% of participants have maintained their housing for at least one year after completing the program.

 

  

Transitional Housing

The philosophy of Lutheran Social Service case management is the belief that respect for others, and a sense of responsibility and resilience can be taught and learned. This education forms the basis of the client/staff working relationship. Services include providing affordable and temporary housing in conjuncture with supportive programming in Anoka and Hennepin counties.

   
In Hennepin County

The Phoenix Program serves single mothers with children. The women must be employed or going to school. Services are provided for up to one year. Call 612/879-5309.

The Family Program serves one or two parent families with up to three children. Families must have resided in Hennepin County shelters twice in the past year. On-site services are provided for up to six months with six months to follow-up. Call 612/879-5367.

    
In Anoka County

Families must be resident of Anoka County and are referred by Anoka County Income Maintenance Housing Advocate.

City View housing is for homeless families and serves one or two parent families with up to four children. Families must be able to access permanent housing within 2 months. Services provided include case management, tenant education, and assistance in locating permanent housing. Six months of aftercare services are also available. Call 612/783-4971.

Abaku serves on or two parent families with up to four children. Families must be able to access permanent housing within six months. Services provided include case management, tenant education, and assistance in locating permanent housing. Six months of aftercare services are also available. Call 612/783-4983.
