Get Involved!
The Refugee and Employment Services department offers a variety of opportunities for you to get involved! We are looking for people with a passion and a heart for refugees to help our new arrivals settle into their new life in the Twin Cities. If you are someone who wants some hands-on experience, or are someone who would prefer to be behind the scenes, we have a place for you!
Volunteer Opportunities: We are currently looking for volunteers!
Co-Sponsorship: Some refugee families need more support than their existing family and LSS can give. Are you a church or other group and would like to be involved in helping to resettle a family?
Internship Opportunities: We offer interactive, in-depth, unpaid internships during J-term, semesters and summers.
In-Kind Donations: LSS gives a quilt and a Welcome Box to each refugee upon their arrival.
Financial Donations: You can greatly impact the lives of refugees through your charitable gifts!
Advisory: Your input is needed as we build a community effort to address the needs of our clients.
Advocacy: Impact the lives of those in need by informing Legislators and Senators on the state and national levels.
