Camp Knutson:
Getting ready for
another 50 years!
Camp Knutson completed another
fantastic year of service to persons with special needs. Here are some of
the highlights.
-
909 campers had life-changing
experiences this summer during 12 weeks of summer fun and growth.
-
The camp welcomed for the
first time children with heart problems through Camp Odayin. And we
continued to serve children with autism, families with HIV/AIDS, kids with
hearing difficulties, Down Syndrome and severe skin diseases.
-
Our "Rebuilding for Good"
campaign continued under the enthusiastic and able leadership of Jerry and
Sandy Bilski.
-
The Welcome Center at the
camp's entrance was completed. And there's a new changing house and
refurbished boat house on the waterfront.

Hats and Mittens Ball to
benefit Camp Knutson
The 7th Annual Hats & Mittens
Dinner/Dance/Silent Auction will benefit Camp Knutson this year. The event
will be held at the Marriott Southwest in Minnetonka on December 30. Hats
& Mittens is an expanding circle of singles and couples from the Twin
Cities, Minnesota community who are committed to reaching out to others
even at times that may be difficult for them. The group is not affiliated
with any agency and chooses each year which charities will benefit from
their efforts. Hats & Mittens has raised thousands of dollars for local
charities and has donated hundreds of sets of hats and mittens to children
in the community.
