Making an Impact in North Central and Northeastern Minnesota

During 2005 and 2006, each issue of Changing Lives will highlight a specific geographic service area. This issue will give readers a look at the services LSS offers in North-Central and Northeastern Minnesota. Approximately 30 percent of both the LSS employees and its $69 Million budget are applied to services in these areas of Minnesota.

While there are concentrations of services in the key cities, there are also services that find their ways into smaller communities. In fact, in just about every county in the state, LSS has some physical presence. From a virtual or on-line perspective, LSS offers its adoption and financial counseling services statewide since the services can be received over the phone, or on-line.
