Lutheran Social Service - in the Metro
Area
While LSS has a strong
concentration of services in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, there are
actually more services in outstate Minnesota communities. In fact,
three-fourths of all LSS services help people outside the metropolitan
area.
In this issue of
Changing Lives, we will be focusing our stories on services that are
offered in the metro area. Of the 100,000 people LSS serves each year,
approximately 25,000 of these individuals live in the metro area. However,
as you read these stories, keep in mind that many of these services are
offered in outstate Minnesota as well.
To show you the full
extent of LSS services offered in the metropolitan area, we have compiled
the following list of services, by category. You will see that the
majority of services are directly helping those in need. At the bottom of
the list are those central, administrative services that support
operations across the state.
