Lutheran Social Service - in the Metro Area

While LSS has a strong concentration of services in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, there are actually more services in outstate Minnesota communities. In fact, three-fourths of all LSS services help people outside the metropolitan area. In this issue of Changing Lives, we will be focusing our stories on services that are offered in the metro area.  Click here to learn more!

Lutheran Night at the Twins - August 3, 2005

When Lutheran fans attend the Minnesota Twins vs. the Oakland Athletics game on August 3, 2005, they will also be going to bat for homeless kids. With each ticket sold through Lutheran churches, a one-dollar contribution will be made to homeless kids programs at Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS).  Click here to read more!

140th Anniversary Celebrations Begin

The kickoff event to LSS' 140th Anniversary was an open house for Board Members, donors and other LSS supporters on April 19. Guests took a historical tour to look at 140 years of service to Minnesota communities by LSS and its predecessor organizations.   Click here to find out more!

Faith in the City

When seven major Lutheran organizations decided to work together for the common good, all of those involved saw great potential. Now, after five years, there are new services and fascinating opportunities for volunteers, students and those who may need assistance. The common denominator is faith...  Click here to find out more!
