In-Home Support is frequently
provided to families where one family member has a developmental
disability. LSS supports many children and adults who live
either with their family or in the community. Staff assist
people to grow and develop skills, often partnering with other
agencies (schools and employers). While there is an emphasis
upon skill development and involvement in valuable learning
activities, there is also a benefit in sharing with the family
the care and supervisory demands. Since a family opens its home
in order to receive support, this service blends nicely into the
home environment.
