Providing constant care and
supervision for a family member who has disabilities can be
difficult without breaks or some relief from the
responsibilities. LSS offers respite care to share in the
support of a child or adult with special needs.
Respite care can be provided in
many different ways. Most frequently, a respite caregiver goes
to the family's home and assumes caregiving responsibilities for
a designated period of time. In some circumstances, another home
setting may be necessary to meet the family's needs.
