Workshop for
Professionals: Families Raising Relatives' Children - October 27,
2004
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Oct. 6,
2004) - Several community organizations are teaming up to offer a workshop
for professionals and families coping with issues related to raising their
relatives' children. Called "Protecting Our Most Important Resource," the
workshop will cover legal, mental health and financial issues and be held
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27 at Lutheran Social Service,
2414 Park Avenue in Minneapolis.

Workshop sponsors include
the Minnesota Kinship Caregivers Association, Lutheran Social Service,
Hispanos en Minnesota, Community Volunteer Service and Senior Centers of
Washington County, Indian Family Service and the American Association of
Retired Persons.
The cost is $10 for
professionals. Families can attend free of charge. The registration
