This web site is designed to help two groups. First, families and "managing parties" involved in PICS programs who receive funding to support people with disabilities or have other staffing needs may use this site to post notices of job openings. Second, individuals who are looking for employment in this field can post their interest and qualifications, review job postings, and send a "blind" e-mail message to a family with a job opening.
Personal information about the client, and identifying information about the family, cannot be viewed by the job-seeker. Families and managing parties can review information on all job-seekers, and contact those they want to interview. Partners in Community Supports (PICS) is committed to providing you with a safe, secure environment in which you can post and review job openings for positions with families on our programs. This privacy statement explains the information gathering and dissemination practices we use on our web site. We will use our best efforts to ensure that the information you submit to us remains private, and will only be used for the purposes described below.
To use our site, we ask you to provide us with personal information about you that allows you to post a job opening you may have, or to post information about you that will be reviewed by a person with a job opening. We gather this personal information with your knowledge, active permission, and participation. This personal information is not shared with any third party except for the purpose of matching you with job opportunities or applicants. We do not rent or sell any personal information about families or job-seekers to any third party. By providing PICS with information for this site, you are giving us permission to post a job opening or your interest in employment. This site employs appropriate security measures to protect against loss, theft, misuse, or alteration of your personal information.
Specific Information We Collect About Site Users
Information on job seekers
In order for the PICS site to help you find a job that matches your interest, skills, and needs, we ask that you complete our online, password-protected registration profile. This allows you to provide us with your personal and professional information so that we can present that information to families on our programs that have job openings. When you register, we realize that we ask for confidential information from you, and we want you to know that we treat this information with the highest degree of privacy possible. The information about you will be available only to families on our programs who may have job openings. No information is released to anyone else without your permission. You may send your personal information to a family with a job opening using the web site. By providing PICS with information for this site, you are giving us permission to post personal information about you that will be reviewed by potential employers.
Information on families and employers
Families participating in a PICS program, such as families using "waiver" and CDCS funds, may use this site to post openings for jobs in their homes or other locations. These families are given password-protected access to their profile page where they can add postings of job openings, revise existing postings, or change other information. When families or managing parties provide information on a job opening, they are giving PICS permission to post that opening on the web site. Job applicants cannot view the name, address, phone number, or e-mail address of the family or managing party.
Throughout our site, you'll find links for sending us an e-mail message. We use your e-mail address for no other purpose than to send you a reply or to update your file information. Your message and e-mail address remain confidential unless you specifically instruct us otherwise.
We may provide links to other web sites that we think you may find useful. However, these other sites are outside the control of PICS, and may have different privacy policies.
Sharing of Information and Unsolicited Communications
PICS will not share your personally identifiable information with any other individuals or entities than with those for whom you give us express permission.

The following Terms and Conditions (collectively referred to below as these "Terms") outline the accepted use of the picsweb.org website (this "Site"). PICS reserves the right to change or modify these Terms at any time. Subsequent to such modification, your further use of this Site shall be deemed to constitute acceptance by you of the modified provisions. Use of Site
This Site is intended for the lawful use of families and "managing parties" receiving assistance through a PICS-sponsored program who are seeking employees, and individuals who seeking employment with those families or managing parties (collectively the "Users"). The services PICS provides to you through this website are subject to the following terms, conditions and disclaimers. In addition, you are subject to any terms, conditions, and disclaimers that may be stated with a particular service in this website. The content on this Site may be used as a resource. However, this Site and any portion of this Site may not be reproduced, duplicated, copied, sold, resold, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose that is not expressly permitted by PICS. PICS reserves the right to refuse service or terminate use at its discretion, including, without limitation, if we believe that user conduct violates applicable law(s) or is harmful to our interest(s).
Users of this Site are prohibited from:
- Posting inaccurate or misleading biographical information.
- Posting any employment opportunities or requirements that are inaccurate, misleading, illegal, or not available.
- Posting employment opportunities that are not related to the purposes of the program.
- Posting "pyramid" schemes; chain letters; club memberships; franchise, distribution, representative or agency arrangements or other career opportunities which require an initial or periodic monetary payments from the job-seeker or require recruitment of other members, sub-agents or sub-distributors.
- Copying other job postings, or any part of a job posting, as your own or posting the same position multiple times on the Site.
- Posting or transferring to or from this Site any material that may contain: (A) copyrighted material, trademarks or trade secrets (unless the User owns the copyright, trademark or trade secret or has the owner's permission to post such material); (B) material that infringes on or misappropriates any other intellectual property or proprietary rights, or violates the privacy or publicity rights of others; (C) any information or software that may contain a virus, worm, Trojan horse, or other harmful or disruptive device; (D) anything that is in violation of any applicable law or regulation or which may constitute a fraudulent, sexually explicit, obscene, libelous, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, or hateful communication.
Anyone accessing this Site is prohibited from:
- Accessing any data or logging in to any account on this Site without the proper authorization.
- Forging TCP/IP packet headers or any part of a header on an e-mail posting.
- Deleting or revising any material posted by another User.
- Responding to an employment opportunity for any person other than yourself.
- Taking any action which results in an unreasonable or disproportionately large load being placed on the Site's infrastructure or otherwise interfering with the service provided to any User including, without limitation, spamming, flooding, soliciting, mass marketing, or crashing any part of the Site.
- Using any engine, software, agent, or any other device or mechanism (including, without limitation, spiders, robots, avatars or intelligent agents) to navigate or search the Site other than the search engines and agents made available through this Site or other generally available Web browsers (e.g., Microsoft Explorer or Netscape Navigator).
- Modifying, adapting, reverse engineering, deciphering, decompiling, or disassembling any portion of this Site.
- Selling, transferring, licensing, or making available to any person not expressly authorized by PICS any PICS services or related information including, without limitation, resumes and applicant information and information about employers.
- Framing or mirroring any part of this Site.
PICS offers this Site as a venue in which families and managing parties in PICS programs can recruit candidates for employment, and individuals can seek employment opportunities. PICS does not represent, warrant, or guarantee the veracity, accuracy, or reliability of the information posted on this Site nor does it endorse any opinions expressed by its Users. It is the solely the responsibility of the family/managing party and the job-seeker to verify the information posted on this Site to determine the suitability of employment. As a User, you acknowledge that any reliance on material posted on this Site is at your own risk. PICS makes no guarantees that any user will find suitable employers or employees.
PICS strives for the highest standard of customer satisfaction. Should a User alert us to material posted on this Site that does not conform to these Terms, PICS, at its discretion, will investigate the complaint and determine whether to remove or to request the removal of the information. PICS reserves the right to terminate its relationship with any User found in breach of the Terms, and to terminate that User's access to the Site.
To gain access to the restricted portions of this Site, you will need both a user name and password. If you are seeking employment through this Site, you will select your user name and password. You should record your username and password for future use. If you are a family or managing party who wants to hire employees, your user name and your password will be assigned to you by PICS. PICS reserves the right to refuse to allow your use of a user name that we believe, at our sole discretion, impersonates someone else, may be illegal, confusing, offensive, duplicates that of another user, or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of another. Your username and password must be kept confidential and you agree not to resell, transfer, or distribute them in any manner or form to access this Site. If you, as a User, have any reason to believe that your account is no longer secure, please contact PICS at firstname.lastname@example.org. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your username and password.
