Farmers, Caterers and Food Distributors
LSS Senior Nutrition currently operates more than 225 senior dining sites in 39 counties of MN (senior dining locations). We serve nutritionally-balanced meals to enhance the health status of seniors 60 years of age and older.
LSS Senior Nutrition is committed to working with local farmers and caterers, as well as statewide food distributors to provide our diners the freshest foods while supporting our local communities.
Farmers and Farmers Markets
LSS Senior Nutrition partners with farmers to serve locally-grown fruits and vegetables so seniors will have additional opportunities to consume fresh, locally-produced foods, while area farmers will enjoy an expanded market for their goods.
Many area farmers and farmers markets support the nutritional needs of seniors in their community by donating extra produce.
Local farmers interested in partnering with LSS to provide locally-grown produce to support senior nutrition should contact the site manager at an LSS senior dining location.
