Being a Treatment Foster Parent
can be very rewarding, but, at times, it can also be
challenging. During those tough times, LSS will be there to
assist you and to make sure that you have the supports needed.
Our staff cares about your family and the commitment you have
made to ensuring safe homes … and hopeful futures for the
children in your care.
LSS will provide:
- Staff available 24
hours/day: We know that family life does not stop after
business hours.
- Monthly support groups:
A time to gain knowledge and encouragement from other
treatment foster parents.
- Specialized Training:
30 hours of core training as you become licensed and on going
training as well.
- Respite Care: “days
off” available upon request
- Weekly contact with staff:
To provide support for you as well as the foster children
living in your home.
- Monthly income that is
non-taxable.
What you will get, in return, is
the satisfaction of making a difference in a child’s life by
showing that child there are adults, on whom he or she can
depend.
