Stories of Success
- Joshua
Joshua was an active 12 year old boy that had a tough time in
school. He lived with his single mother and 2 younger siblings
in a rural town. His mother worked long hours to support her
family. Joshua often became frustrated at school and was
frequently in trouble. Joshua’s mother had trouble supporting
her family and managing her son’s increasingly negative
behaviors.
Joshua troubles escalated when he
started regularly skipping school. One day he was arrested for
stealing when he should have been in school. Joshua was placed
in an LSS Treatment Foster Home after this incident.
Joshua was been at this home one
and a half years. His negative behaviors have decreased and he
is doing much better in school. The best news is that during
this past school year Joshua did not miss a day of class! This
success was celebrated with his foster family and LSS staff,
along with Joshua’s mother and siblings. Joshua visits his
mother and hopes on returning home in the next 6 months.
