: LSS Financial Counseling Service is seeking an individual to provide financial counseling and coaching at the Center for Working Families (CWF) and Eastside Financial Center (EFC) on the east side of St. Paul. These programs are part of the Wealth Creation Initiative being developed on the Eastside of St. Paul. The CWF and EFC are new financial centers which will provide employment services, public benefit access, financial counseling and education, as well as access to financial products and services including a match savings program. This position will provide financial counseling, coaching, and education through building relationships with families and individuals utilizing the CWF and EFC. Services provided will include budget counseling, housing counseling, assisting clients with financial goals, credit review and debt management, through initial, follow-up counseling sessions and education presentations including occasionally teaching financial education workshops. The counseling position will also help coordinate services with the employment and benefit access services including the match savings program.
BA or equivalent and 2 years experience in human services, financial industry, credit or collections in a counseling/coaching atmosphere. This is a Lead Float position covering 3 homes in the Brooklyn Park/Brooklyn Center Area.
