Refugee Employment Services (RES)
The Refugee Employment Services (RES) assists refugees and asylees receiving public assistance, who have resided in the U.S. for less than 5 years, obtain permanent employment offering livable wages and full benefits.
Eligibility
:
- Must be a refugee, asylee, or victim of trafficking
- Must have resided in the US for less than 2 years OR be on MFIP and in the U.S. for less than 5 years.
Program Services:
- Case Management by employment program counselors who are multicultural and bilingual
- Referral to LSS’s Training and Education Center (TEC)
- Employment orientations
- One-on-one job searching including visits to potential employers
- Follow up with clients and employers after job placement
- Cross-cultural education to employers and LSS clients
