LSS Employment Services:

Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA)

The Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) program is a Federally funded program that provides refugees with cash assistance for their first 8 months in the U.S. while they are seeking employment.

Eligibility :

  • Must be a refugee who has been in the US less than 8 months from their date of arrival or an asylee granted asylum within the last 8 months
  • Single or married with no children
  • Must actively search for employment

Program Services:

  • Cash assistance distributed monthly
  • Bus cards
  • Referral to refugee employment services
  • Access to LSS’s Training and Education Center (TEC)
