LSS Employment Services:
MFIP Waiver Program
This program is available to refugees and asylees who need additional assistance in gaining employment. Participants must be enrolled in the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) and have a valid MFIP employment plan.
Eligibility
:
- Must be a refugee or an asylee
- Must be an MFIP recipient for less than 60 months
- Must have lived in the US for more than 5 years
- Must not be a US citizen.
Program Services:
- Intensive one-to-one case management
- Extra support on job searches
- Job training
- Post-employment follow-up
- Referrals and follow-up on other services
How to get services :
- Referral from Hennepin County’s MFIP Coordination Office.
- Case transferred from other employment service agencies in Hennepin County.
