LSS AIDS Information Duluth
Seeks to be a primary source of HIV/AIDS information, increasing community knowledge of HIV prevention and fostering understanding and acceptance of those living with AIDS. For Information: 218/720-6385

LSS Bethany Crisis Nursery
Serving greater Duluth, the LSS Bethany Crisis Nursery provides temporary, emergency care for children infancy through 12 years and support services for parents in times of crisis. For Information: 218/626-1901 ext.32, Crisis Line 218/626-3083

LSS Bethany Crisis Shelter
Emergency shelter for children infant to 17 years, in need of safe shelter and support services. For Information: 218/626-1901 ext.27

LSS Bethany Diagnostic Center
Twenty-five day program which provides psychological behavior and educational evaluations including psychiatric, family and chemical use assessments. For Information: 218/626-1901 ext.14

LSS Bethany Housing Program

LSS Bethany Runaway/Homeless Program

LSS Caregiver Support
Caregiver Support Program provides assistance to family caregivers who are taking care of chronically-ill family members 60 years of age or older. Support is provided through in-home, non-medical respite care, caregiver discussion groups, informational presentations, and caregiver workshops. For information: 218/724-0648

LSS Carlton Crisis Shelter
Carlton County residents can receive emergency temporary care for children from infancy through 12 years and support services for parents in times of crisis. For information: 218/879-1527

LSS Custody Study Services

LSS Financial Counseling Service
Helps individuals and families sort through the maze of credit and debt problems to find workable solutions. Includes budget counseling, a debt management program, housing counseling and community education programs. In-person, over the phone or Internet counseling. LSS Growth for Marriage

LSS Guardianship Options
As court appointed guardian/conservator, LSS is a substitute decision maker and is charged with making decisions that are in the best interest of the health, safety, well being and material/financial interest of vulnerable, incapacitated and/or incompetent individuals. LSS also offers Power of Attorney, Care Coordination and Personal Representation of Estate services. For information: 218/529-2240

LSS LifeWorks Employee Resource
LSS contracts with employers statewide to provide cost-competitive, high quality, employee assistance programs, organizational development, wellness programs and critical incident services. For information: 218/529-2240

LSS Parent Warm Line 
Provides non-emergency information to parents on child-rearing issues. For Information: 218/525-3242

LSS Renaissance Transitional Living Program
Provides transitional housing for young people 16-21 years old. Services include case management, advocacy and assistance with independent living skills, educational and employment needs. For Information: 218/723-8052 ext. 21

LSS Senior Companion Program
This program relies on seniors, 60 years and older, provide one-on-one support and visitation to homebound elderly at risk of nursing home placement. Volunteers are provided with financial reimbursement for transportation, meals and other expenses. For Information: 218/724-0648

LSS Street Outreach Program
Provides street-based outreach services to all homeless and runaway youths. Outreach workers help youth find temporary or transitional housing, provide a positive adult presence on the street, and other counseling and basic needs support. For Information: 218/723-8052, ext. 21.

LSS Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange
Provides supervised visitation services to families referred through St. Louis County. For Information: 218/391-9561

LSS The First Year Program
A comprehensive community collaborative of agencies that assist first-time parents at risk for insecure attachment to their children. Counselors help parents respond sensitively to infant needs. For Information: 218/626-1901, ext. 27.

LSS Together for Youth
Support group for youth dealing with issues of sexual orientation. For Information: 218/529-2245

LSS Truancy Action Program
Helps truant students and their families sort out issues and return youth to school. For Information: 218/529-2244

LSS Youth Empowerment Program
Therapeutic mentoring for youth ages 4 to 17 who have been diagnosed with a severe disturbance. For information: 218/529-2244

LSS Young Parent Program
