Pre-Discharge Education
LSS Financial Counseling Service
is proud to be approved by EOUST, the Executive Office for
United States Trustees, to provide pre-discharge bankruptcy
education classes nationwide (except Oregon).**
The education sessions are 2
hours in length, and include a pre and post test. In this
session, you will gain an understanding of life after
bankruptcy, and be provided the help you need to move
forward financially. Services are available in person or online.
IN-PERSON CLASSES
Our financial counselors teach these classes and each
participant will receive a copy of the workbook, Lead
A Richer Life, and be issued a Certificate of

ONLINE CLASS: MONEY IN MOTION
Follow the three required steps below:

Submit your $40 per person payment or fee waiver documentation. We accept debit cards, money orders, or cashier's checks ONLY.
- Payment Online: If you wish to use our online system to pay by debit card,CLICK HERE.
Once your payment has been accepted, you will receive payment confirmation. You will receive your Student ID and Password, and will be directed to the Money in Motion site to complete your course. (Note: a couple may pay in a
single $80 transaction, and will receive two Student IDs and Passwords.)
- Payment by Mail: If you wish to submit payment by money order or cashier's check, send those payments to:

Once your payment, Disclosure and Affidavit are received, you will receive an email with your Student ID and Password and will be directed to the Money in Motion site to complete your course.
- If you believe you qualify for a fee waiver, you MUST contact our office at 888-577-2227 and be prepared to provide documentation.
Fee Policy: There is a fee of $40 per person for this service. If you are a married couple, and both are filing, you must both complete the education.
Services are available for free based on a client's ability to pay, under the following circumstances:
1) if your attorney is filing pro bono; or 2) the majority of your income is from disability, and your family income is no more than 200% of Federal Poverty Level. In either case, documentation MUST be provided verifying these criteria in order for the fee to be waived.*
Step 3:
Complete the Online class, Money in Motion, including a post test.
- We use the education product "Money in Motion" to provide online classes.
- Before you may access this online class, you must complete Step 1 and Step 2, above.
- Once your class has been completed on line, we will be notified by "Money in Motion" and your certificate will be issued.
