Charities Review Council
endorses Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota
Every
three years, the Charities Review Council reviews Minnesota non-profit
organizations to insure they are meeting the Council’s Accountability
Standards. The purpose of this process is to build donor trust in the
nonprofit sector, thereby allowing donors to make informed decisions about
their charitable giving. By providing information, tools and resources to
the giving public, the Council helps encourage greater confidence in
giving and fosters public trust in charitable organizations.
LSS recently completed the review, and the Charities
Review Council determined that LSS meets all of the Council’s standards.
This is important information to share with donors, foundations and
congregations. It demonstrates our commitment to openness and transparency
to the people who support us with their donations and grants. It is also
an excellent resource for potential donors who may want to learn more
about LSS.
Donors can log on to the Council’s Smart Givers Network
website at
