Outreach Focus: ? Sunday Community Meal ? FIA--Faith In Action ? Faith in Families mentor program ? GRIP--Great River Interfaith Partnership: works on social issues in the community ? Spoonful of Sugar: making gifts for children who are hospitalized ? Place of Hope & Church of the Week ? Prison Ministry ? WOW FIA (Wings or Wheels): promotes awareness and inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in area faith communities ? Habitat for Humanity LSS Connection: ? Crisis Nursery o Held several fundraisers including a "scrap booking" weekend which not only created hundreds of dollars but also an awareness of the program. o Opportunity to speak during services to educate the parishioners and raise dollars for their "Thanksgiving?giving? ? goal is to raise $5,000 for Crisis Nursery o Pastor Kristen is a member of the Crisis Nursery Advisory Committee. o Held many diaper drives for the nursery so we can reach out to more families in need. ? Ptr Wayne Anderson serves on LSS?s Board of Directors; has been an advocate and friend of LSS for many years; did visits on behalf of LSS Church Relations in SW MN ? Public Policy & Advocacy: Hosted Community Conversation regarding youth at-risk; Ptr Wayne authored a letter of support for LSS homeless youth services
