About Us
The mission of Lutheran
Social Service of Minnesota is to express the love of Christ
for all people through acts of service
The mission of LSS puts the
organization and its work at the center of the service
mission of the church (love God; love neighbor). LSS
Congregational Partnership & Advocacy seeks to create a
solid connection between LSS and the
congregations and communities in which we live out
this shared mission.
That connection between LSS,
congregations, and communities takes shape in three very
tangible ways: Giving, Serving, Advocating
- Giving:
Congregations offer
financial gifts to support neighbors with needs through
the work of LSS
-
Serving:
Congregations and their
members and LSS staff support one another and those we
serve through volunteer opportunities and service
-
Advocating: LSS and congregations
inspire a Movement of Hope in communities around the
state, uniting and amplifying the voices of citizens who
are motivated by their religious beliefs and/or their
personal philosophy to speak out in solidarity with
neighbors with needs and in support of A Minnesota Without
Poverty.
