Why Volunteering with Camp Noah is Different

When asked what the most meaningful part of their Camp Noah experience was, our recent volunteers said:

"It's so wonderful to see the transformation of the campers from day one to day five. Knowing that the children are given a safe place to just be kids, to know that they are not alone and that they are loved and hopefully move closer to healing. To be a part of that transformation is such a blessing!"

"To watch how the kids in my group respected and supported each other. They listened to each other. They were comfortable sharing their stories. They were kind to each other."

"One of the children in our small group had lost two of his best friends when the tornado hit. He was a great kid and it was meaningful to watch and listen to him as he tried to work through that loss."

“Watching the kids identify and grow from their trauma, and using the coping methods that we gave them.”

"Being able to interact with the kids, seeing them have fun. Having the genuine and heartfelt gratitude of the parents, campers and even people in the community."
