the network of Lutheran social ministry organizations represents this
country’s largest single expression of social and health services.

acceptable for our children?
The fact that we have to ask ourselves this question is evidence of
the difficulty of our times. As Christians, there is only one answer
to this question: there is no level of homelessness that is acceptable
for our children!

2004 Treasurer's Report |
| In spite of challenging
political and economic factors, LSS ends fiscal year 2004 with a
positive change in net assets of $794,000. Decreased funding for
vulnerable people at the federal, state and local levels forced LSS to
temporarily and, in some cases, permanently, close certain programs
