Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSSMN) is one of the nation’s first agencies to receive Hague Accreditation, assuring you that the services we provide meet the highest ethical and professional standards. We provide our families with personalized and caring service to guide you through the preparation of your adoption application, your USCIS paperwork, your dossier, preparation for travel and assistance with the process to complete your child’s U.S. citizenship once you return home with your child. In addition, our Hague-approved, pre-adoption education and post-adoption education opportunities help families prepare for a lifetime of parenting the adopted child. In a nutshell, we are here for you as you begin your journey, and we will support you every step of the way.
Working With Us
We are dedicated to promoting the caring, knowledge, and understanding that is needed to prepare you for the challenges and rewards of adoption and to support your family as it grows and matures. Our international adoption program staff is comprised of individuals who specialize in the adoption of children from each country with which we work. Most of our staff are uniquely qualified for their role; some are adoptive parents, others are adopted persons; some have traveled in their assigned country, others were born there; all have a passion for creating permanency for children in need.
